In 1983, former Disney animator Don Bluth found the video games of the day sourly lacking in visual excitement and set out remedy this problem with his highly successful Dragons Lair. Using animation on laser disc, he created an interactive arcade video game that was unlike anything seen before.
Though the actual game play was restricted to blinking and flashing objects that told you where you had to move, you needed to be quick.
Presented here are most, if not all of the levels, death scenes included of Dirk the Daring's epic quest to rescue Princess Daphne from the dragon Singe.
