Guillermo del Toro's 'Pacific Rim' announced at Comic-Con 2011

It's suppose to have 'monsters' galore, and at comic-con 2011 director Guillermo del Toro announced that he will be directing Pacific Rim. The story is described on Internet Movie Database as "When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace." How can it fail?

Del Toro was asked if he is making a new Swamp Thing movie, and said he's worked on a story, but as far as receiving backing for the project, no one has come forward yet.
