Everything Lucas and James Cameron stole is here in the original! Written in 1912 by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the same man who gave you Tarzan, John Carter had force jump, he was a 'Jetix' (like Jedi!) he astral projects himself to another world, just like Avatar. John Carter was the first!  
(I'm still a total Star Wars geek, but lets give credit where credit is due.)
