Frank Herbert's science fiction masterpiece comes to the big screen . . . Dune! Staring Mick Jagger, Orson Wells, Salvador Dali, with art designs by H.R. Giger, and music by Pink Floyd. That's what the late 60's version would have been like. Its a whose-who of what could have been, a grand dream of cinema that will never be. For years I read about the concept of this movie in various books and on websites, and was always left wondering what the end product would have been like. Now we can get a slightly better view through the eyes of the film-maker who had the grandest of visions, only to have that dream dismantled and used piece by piece by other producers and directors (I'm pointing at you Mr. Lucas).
