Sony's 'Imageworks' - A Major Visual Effects house MOVES TO CANADA - California losing more Hollywood Jobs

Sony 'Imageworks', the Oscar winning visual effects company behind titles like this seasons The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Edge of Tomorrow has announced that it is moving its facilities to Vancouver Canada. That's 270 jobs that are leaving California because of the increasing amount of money it costs to stay in the troubled state. For years, the sky rocketing expenses of making films in Hollywood's native-land have increased, pushing out production and facilities to cheaper locations.

Wearable Video Gaming - Sony CEO sees it Happening in the Company's Future

Sony President and CEO Kazuo Hirai sees a future where you could be wearing your video game system. He announced Monday at the companies Tokyo headquarters, that gamers would be part of the gaming environment, making them into walking camera/televisions. Leading edge image sensors and displays would make Sony's tentative vision a reality. There is no announced date for a roll-out of Sony's advanced gaming technology, but the idea is certainly an exciting one.
