Legendary film composer James Newton Howard gives an exclusive look into what shapes the tones and melodies of his emotional musical landscape.

Since 1985, Mr. Howard has worked on some of the biggest movies to blaze across the silver screen. A list of just some of his more recent and notable works include:
The Hunger Games, Snow White and the Huntsman, Salt, I Am Legend, King Kong, The Dark Knight, Signs, The Sixth Sense, The Devil's Advocate.
James Newton Howard's Maleficent score is available on iTunes, and at Amazon

I have also included the official Vevo YouTube upload of Lana Del Ray's eerie version of Disney's 1954 'Once Upon a Dream' below.

Capitalizing off of Fox's success with Star Wars in 1977, Disney brought to light its production of the Black Hole. With an ending as mysterious as 2001, The Black Hole is a gem from the late 70's. James Bond composer John Barry provides the films strong musical score, and it was this movies soundtrack that was the first to make use of the budding digital recording technology of the day.

The glass slipper, or at least a crystalline computer generated representation of Cinderella's lost shoe is the lasting image we are left with in Disney's newest taste of things to come. The teaser trailer has no images of actors, action or locations, but it's not what this promotion is about, they want you to know that the story of a legendary lady is headed you way . . . March 2015 to be exact.

What we do know is the cast, which includes A-listers; Lily James as Cinderella, Helena Bonham Carter as her Fairy Godmother, and Cate Blanchett is the evil Lady Tremaine. Thor director Kenneth Branagh brings his epic storytelling prowess to the table. Writer Aline Brosh McKenna who gave us the screen adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada certainly knows how to tell the story of a young woman who must push against the sinister forces who only wish to hold her back.

Star Wars Red Squadron X-Wing movie coming to a theater near you? A LEAKED list of future films?

Red Squadron readies its self to attack the Death Star in Star Wars Episode IV/Battle of Yavin/Disney

UPDATE: 'Godzilla' Director Garth Edwards is set to direct the Star Wars spin-off, non-Saga film slated for December of 2016. No word on what the picture will be about, but the list below may point to the answer.

A stand alone Star Wars movie based on a Red Squadron X-Wing fleet? Nothing official, at least in the way of a statement from Disney studios, but word on the street, or that is to say, those who are connected to the studio via merchandising, see a very real possibility of a stand alone Star Wars film centering on the rebel space fly-boy's of Rogue Squadron. That's the rumor, anyway.

Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that there are 3 spin-off, stand-alone Star Wars films in the works that will be released during the years in-between the main saga films. J.J. Abrams helmed Episode VII is slated for a 2015 release, so that means that one of the 3 self contained stories would be in theaters by 2016.

According to Geek Tyrant, a German Web site attended a Hasbro event, merchandiser of Star Wars toys. The 'event' was nothing less than the mapping out of the future Star Wars films.

The alleged alleged schedule is as follows:
2014: Rebels (Animated sires - see trailer below)
2015: Episode VII
2016: Boba Fett
2017: Episode VIII
2018: Solo
2019: Episode IX
2020: Red Five
Is the list authentic? It could be. This may be a rough-sketch Disney presented to Hasbro, showing what kind of output they expect from the toy contractors future obligations. This list would also make it possible for the toy manufacturers accounting department to calculate theatrical revenue projections. Both companies would want this kind of information to make budget projections as well.

All we can do is wait and see.

Rebels, will appear as an animated series on Disney XD this fall.
