What exactly would cause a dawn of a planet of apes? The new Fox trailer attempts to show what a simian uprising would look like. It's a cool concept, a mini-movie that draws us in with mounting chaos and archival or mock archival footage that plateaus to the chilling reveal.

A decade has passed since apes and man have come face-to-face. Now the two societies face a difficult choice between working together to co-exist or battle to become the dominant species.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
